Baby Carrier One has four carrying positions: newborn, facing in, facing out, and on your back. You can carry in the facing-out position from around the age of five months, once your baby is strong enough to hold their head up unaided. You can carry your baby on your back from the age of 1.
The International Hip Dysplasia Institute has evaluated Baby Carrier One and declared it to be “hip healthy” when used in accordance with the instructions.

Safety Warning: The child must face you until he/she is able to hold his/her head upright. Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems, and infants under the age of FOUR months are at the greatest risk of suffocation. Never use a soft carrier when your balance or mobility is impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, or medical conditions. Avoid dressing your child too warmly. Never wear a soft carrier while driving or riding as a passenger in a motor vehicle. Never use a soft carrier while engaging in activities that involve a heat source or exposure to chemicals, such as cooking and cleaning. The baby carrier is NOT suitable for use during sports or other leisure activities. Check to ensure all buckles, snaps, straps, and adjustments are secure before each use. Check for ripped seams, torn straps or fabric and damaged fasteners before each use.
Infants can fall through a wide leg opening or out of carrier. Always hold your baby closely until correctly attached. Make sure baby’s legs are straddling the seat and arms extend through arm holes. Adjust leg openings to fit baby’s legs snugly. The leg straps must be used for children weighing 7–10 lb/3.2–4.5 kg. Before each use, make sure all buckles are secure. Take special care when leaning or walking. Never bend at waist, bend at knees. This baby carrier is designed for use by adults while walking only. Only use this carrier for children between 7 lb/3.2 kg (21 in/53 cm) and 25 lb/11 kg. Ensure proper placement of child in product including leg placement. Your balance may be adversely affected by your own or your child’s movements. Never use a damaged baby carrier. This baby carrier must not be used as a back carrier.
Infants under 4 months can suffocate in this product if face is pressed tight against your body. Do not strap baby too tight against your body. Allow room for head movement. Always keep infant’s face free from obstructions. Never lie down or sleep with baby in the baby carrier. Inspect the baby carrier regularly for any signs of wear and tear

Use a washing bag to cut down on microplastic fibres entering the environment. Choose an eco-friendly detergent without bleach and ditch the fabric softener. Do not tumble dry or iron. For minor stains, a quick wipe with a damp cloth usually does the trick. Plus, this product is free from any harmful levels of substances, so there’s no need to wash it before the first use.
